Qualified medical evaluators (QMEs) are qualified physicians who are certified by the Division of Workers' Compensation - Medical Unit to examine injured workers to evaluate disability and write medical-legal reports. The reports are used to determine an injured worker's eligibility for workers' compensation benefits. QMEs include medical doctors, doctors of osteopathy, doctors of chiropractic, dentists, optometrists, podiatrists, psychologists and acupuncturists.

I’ve evaluated numerous injured workers throughout my career as a chiropractic Qualified Medical Examiner. Nothing is more important than a safe, efficient and effective evaluation process. Further, I use state-of-the-art inclinometry equipment and AMA Guides-compliant examination techniques in order to obtain the most accurate clinical data possible.

Medical Record Review
A complete evaluation includes reviewing the entire patient history. My advanced experience in medical record review will provide the most thorough and effective analysis for evaluating the whole patient, from past injuries and medical conditions to the present.
All record reviews are summarized in detail within the medical legal report to provide transparency in expanding the medical record and refining my understanding of the issues surrounding each case.

Having been in the California worker's compensation industry for over 15 years, I have a deep understanding of our state's medical legal system. My experience and training continues to grow through peer collaboration, medical research and continuing education.
